The site will be used according to the following proposed land use (see details under Land Use).
- Land for Managed Grazing Program: 3,200 acres
- Forest Garden Co-op Zone: 800 acres
- Agriculture Zone for Greenhouses and more: 93 acres
- Residential Land: 650 acres
Total 4,743 acres
Development Area Notes
- RESIDENTIAL: All homes shall be located within the northern portion of the property surrounded by forest garden. These sketches (coming) illustrate different residential configurations or product types.
- WORKFORCE HOUSING: The workforce housing community will be a more dense village with 4 to 5 units per acre, and its own common ground on 100 total acres. (see sketch). There is another potential workforce housing site near the secondary entrance at the west end of NM State Road 112 depending on how many units are needed.
- OPEN LAND: Land in the southern half, but also including most open fields in the northern development area, will remain open space, and a working ranch. It will act as habitat to support wildlife, ecotourism and managed grazing. Low impact, off the grid, camp like facilities, will generate sustainable economic activity that provides a means to further restore and improve the land further over time.
- FOREST GARDEN: Forest garden will gradually be planted along roads, around residential, and other areas where its appropriate. This will take place gradually as each phase is developed.
- FIRE STATION LAND: The Ranch is to reserving a two acre parcel of land along NM State Road 112 near the secondary entrance in the event it is needed as a fire station.
