Development Area Notes
- RESIDENTIAL: All homes shall be located within the northern portion of the property surrounded by agro-forest or forest garden areas, know as the cooperative land. Residents enjoy an exclusive right of use for agricultural purposes.
- WORKFORCE HOUSING: The workforce housing community will be a more dense village with 4 to 5 units per acre, and its own common ground on 100 total acres. A second area for workforce housing is located near a secondary entrance at the west end of property along NM State Road 112.
- OPEN LAND: Land in the southern half, but also including most open fields in the northern development area, will remain open space for ecotourism and a working ranch. It will act as habitat to support wildlife, ecotourism and managed grazing. Low impact, off the grid, camp like facilities, will generate sustainable economic activity that provides a means to further restore and improve the land further over time.
- FOREST GARDEN: Forest garden will gradually be planted along roads, around residential, and other areas where its appropriate. This will take place gradually as each phase is developed.
- FIRE STATION LAND: The Ranch is to reserving a two acre parcel of land along NM State Road 112 near the secondary entrance in the event it is needed as a fire station.
